Jorge Manuel Uribe

Hello everyone! My name is Jorge Uribe, I was Born in Colombia and my passions for arts and crafts started at a very young age, from playing piano, being part of musical groups, graphic design, painting, and photography, I was introduced to floral design a few years after I moved to the US.

I own a flower studio, and my works range from retail to weddings and events, combinings my passion for flowers with my love for photography.

In recent years I became part of AIFD, The American Institute of Floral Designers, and I have been part of the National board of directors as the Northeast representative.

In 2018 I finished my studies for EMC and graduated, currently I am a member of the EMC Education Team. I am always ready to help, guide, and support others, sharing knowledge to help them grow.

What Is Your Approach To Design?

My inspirations come from Nature, architecture, and Photography, I always think of the outcome before starting design.

What Do You Love About Competing?

One of the most important things I love about competing is the contribution to our growth as better designers, the adrenaline and excitement but mostly sharing with others.

In What Other Notable Competitions Have You Participated?

I have participated in and won the Northeast designer of the Year 5 times, competed at the FTD Americas Cup, 1st place bridal bouquet, 2nd place fashion categories at the Gateway to the Americas Cup 2016, 2nd place at the Florida State Design International 2020.
